Office Chair Ball Caster Replacement — Smooth, Floor-Safe Mobility
- by WANHUA LYU
Traditional chair casters can drag or stick on certain flooring surfaces, making it difficult to glide smoothly. This can disrupt workflow and cause frustration during daily tasks.
Hard plastic wheels often leave marks on hardwood, laminate, or tile floors and generate unwanted noise, reducing comfort and aesthetics.
In tight office or home setups, traditional wheels may require extra clearance to pivot, limiting the mobility of your chairs and furniture.
Each caster ball rotates freely, allowing your chair or furniture to glide effortlessly in any direction without restriction.
The TPR-coated ball rolls quietly and protects floors from scratches, scuffs, and marks, making it safe for all indoor surfaces.
Compact size and low profile make ball casters ideal for office chairs, stools, carts, and lightweight furniture in any workspace.
Drill a hole in the center of the furniture leg bottom using a 13/32" (10 mm) wood drill bit to a depth of 1-9/16" to 1-3/4".
Tap the included socket (for 5/16" grip ring stem, 1-1/4" length) into the hole using a rubber hammer until flush with the bottom of the leg.
Push the 5/16" × 1-1/2" grip ring stem into the socket until it locks securely. Apply gentle taps with a rubber hammer if necessary.
Ensure the socket is fully seated and flush with the furniture bottom. This system is not compatible with threaded mounts.
